Kennedy Hunt

Program Coordinator, Lead Instructor, and Garden Steward

Born and raised in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, I came to East Tennessee to further my education. In my time here, I’ve developed an eclectic portfolio including experiences in art, medicine, public health, child education, culture, wellness, music, and nature. In 2025, I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Sciences and a Bachelor’s of Art in Anthropology from ETSU. At ETSU, I was deeply involved in volunteering in children’s programs, including the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County and the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in East Tennessee. It was during this time that I discovered the Earth School at Fauna Forest Farm and began interning in January of 2024. Throughout my time here, I have worked with all age groups as an assistant or lead instructor, and as of Fall 2026, I am stepping into a Program Coordinator role alongside teaching and tending the garden.

In this role, I intend to use my unique educational experiences to amplify the Earth School’s mission in creating a culture that relies on the land for learning and leading, and in return teaches all how to care for the natural world and oneself within it. I am also excited to integrate experiences from my global studies and leadership roles to create an easeful, intentional, and welcoming experience for the Earth School’s educators and families. I look forward to being more entwined with the Earth School and its wider community as I become rooted in leadership here.
